Iain Lock, Managing Partner Iain has for over 15 years specialised in advising businesses on
employment law and other business law matters. As Iain owns Q&A Law he
appreciates the problems owners of SME businesses have and delivers
advice in a practical and commercial way that applies to the specific
business. Iain combines his considerable experience with a commercial
understanding as he was in a previous career a commercial manager for
the largest publishing company in the UK.
Iain's legal experience has led him to advise small businesses to large PLCs across the UK. He regularly advises businesses on all areas of employment law and particularly difficult disciplinary problems, business reorganisations and drafting contracts of employment to protect a businesses assets. Iain likes to get the know the business he acts for so he can provide advice that is tailored to suite the industry and environment they work in. He always visits clients premises to learn more about them. Iain also conducts employment tribunal cases on behalf of clients.
Iain also manages the employment team and is managing partner for the whole firm so has a number of management responsibilities of his own.
Away from the office Iain likes to spend weekends with his family and young children. He is a keen sportsman and will try all sports however he a real passion for football, once a non-league player himself, rugby, cycling and skiing.
Stephen Acres Stephen has been a qualified solicitor for over 11 years and advises businesses on all areas of employment law. Stephen also came in to the profession late and is able to bring his previous commercial experience to the business to ensure that clients receive not only good legal advice but also in a way that makes commercially sense. Socially Stephen likes to spend his time with his family and is a ski instructor and F1 fan.
Lesley Margrie Leslie is the firms Operations Partner and the one who makes it all work. She is responsible for all financial management and ensuring that our high service standards are maintained. If anything needs to be done in the office Lesley is there to make it happen. When not at work, Lesley spends time looking after her family and going to musical theatre.
Lisa May Lisa is a solicitor and part of the employment team. She is an expert in managing employment tribunal claims and regularly appears before Employment Judges. Her excellent negotiation skills have seen Lisa achieve results for clients that greatly exceeded their expectations. When not acting for clients Lisa enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Jo Storey Jo has many years experience in dealing with all manner of employment issues and disputes. Jo handles many employment Tribunal claims and appears before Employment Judges.
Andrew Spicer Andrew Spicer is a trainee solicitor having come into the profession late. He has been advising multinational and national businesses, SMEs and charities for a number of years. He routinely advises on all areas of employment law and specialises in complex disciplinary issues and dismissals, as well as strategies to resolve problems before they become disputes. Prior to entering the legal profession Andrew spent several years teaching English in Japan and Spain. Away from the office Andrew is a martial arts instructor and likes to spend his free time reading and socialising with friends.
