Employment law advice on
flexible working requests
Employees with young or disabled children or, more recently, who care for dependant adults, have the right to request flexible working to enable the employee to care for that child or adult.
The aim is to have in place a recognised procedure which will allow the employer and employee to consider more flexible working arrangements. However, it should be noted that, although employers are obliged to seriously consider any such request, employees do not have a right to flexible working. A request may be refused if there are clear business grounds for doing so.
At Q&A Law we understand how to deal with flexible working and with our comprehensive services you'll find the answers to your questions along with a law guide, a step-by-step process guide, letter templates and policy documents to enable you to deal with all your flexible working issues.
